Evanescence: (Ev`a*nes"cence),
n. The act or state of vanishing away; disappearance; as, the evanescence of vapor, of a dream, of earthly plans or hopes.
This band formed by Amy Lynn Lee and Mr. Ben Moody (now no longer a member)
first got together after the two met at camp. Evanescence burst onto the music scene in february of 2003 with their first
single "Bring me to life" featuring Paul Mccoy of 12 stones.
A full year of touring and 4 singles later Evanescence has sold over 9
million records and has been recognized world-wide as one of the most popular groups of the new year.
